I’m going to adjust my forecast for late tonight to hit the increasing cloudiness and patchy fog a bit harder. The NAM, RPM, and HRRR are pretty definitive in bringing in a low cloud deck overnight behind the back door cold front.
Satellite imagery continues to show the cloud mass east of the front. Boston is currently 43 degrees and overcast with a
400 foot ceiling and 1/2 mile visibility. While we won’t necessarily get as locked in as they are, I would think that it will become mostly cloudy late tonight & early Thursday morning with areas of patchy fog in places.
